Family Fun in the Sun
Amber was great to work with! This was our first time traveling out of the US with our 4 kids, so I had a lot of questions and she answered all of them big or small. She really listened to what we were looking for with our active family and budget. She nailed it when it came to the resort we went to, Riu Dunamar. We have since this trip worked with Amber many times and will continue to do so!
The resort was very clean, not too large so our kids had no complaints about walking to different parts of the resort. We were able to navigate the resort very easily. Also for me it was important that the resort was safe for my kids, and it was. We never had a time we did not feel completely safe with our kids running around.
The resort is a family resort , so it is busy but a good busy! All the kids speaking every language playing together is a pretty awesome thing to see. The staff had games at the main pool daily and encouraged kids and adults to get involved! We also had staff on the beach with bocci ball and ring toss which the boys really enjoyed. There was kids friendly entertainment every night, which if we werent to exhausted enjoyed going to. The water park was a hit for the boys and adults.
Our favotire place was the beach, it is a beautiful beach and the water was a bit rougher, which we loved! We took some boogie boards along and rode waves for hours!
Our room was cleaned every day and had turn down service every night, so they would also clean up all the sand that was dragged in during the day than. As a Mom that may have been my favorite part!
The food was good, we did try all the restaurants and the boys always found something they liked, the boys would always choose the buffet though, more options! We did learn that when you take 4 growing boys you should pack some snacks along!
We worked with our Amstar rep and did a dolphin excursion, we would highly recommend it!
We had a great time.. I would give the resort a 9 out of 10. It met all our needs and we stayed as busy as we wanted to be! We actaully went back again this year and took my mom and sister and her family along. We once again had a great time!
